Handschutz ist natürlich Quatsch, perdon war noch früh. Ich meinte natürlich den Griff wo die GB eingelassen wird. :-)

gibt es dafür auch eine coole englische Abkürzung?

Soweit ich weiß setzt man die Gearbox, zumindest beim M4, in den Lower Receiver ein.
Bei ner MP5 würde ich jedoch Griffstück sagen.
