So ich quote einfach mal nen Text aus einem britischen Forum geschrieben am 20.03.2009:
Hi Folks
I can put you all out of your misery because I'm in China talking to Viva Arms right now. The Sten MKII is real albeit being produced in a very small factory with a high proportion of the gun being CNC'd, therefore time consuming to build. I'll be totally honest with you and say that it's priced way too high. Our export agent who deals with only airsoft products confirmed my opinion, I didn't prompt the response either. We reckon that if they are built by CYMA or AGM, they will be about half the price. They have yet to be tested, including the LiPo packs which are a very dodgy battery technology to buy from China. There's a few people here been killed by their cellphone LiPo batteries exploding, if you don't believe me, Google it. We believe that Viva are attempting to introduce a major price hike to get more in line with airsoft pricing in Japan where most airsoft guns are sneaked in from for them to copy. So, it's a dangerous thing to encourage this by buying up shedloads and basically showing China that Western people are either impatient or desperate enough to fork out a lot of dosh for a Chinasoft. Anyhoo, we've got them and will be sea freighting them in to arrive in about 5 weeks from today. They will also be available to our wholesale customer base at a price that will allow the retail sector to sell it at around £275, depending on the currency strength and ever fluctuating shipping costs (mainly due to the bribes that have to be paid to get them out of China). They'll be up on the web site for pre-order once I manage to get a decent photo of it myself. Action Hobbies will have them at the same time as us. There is also a very distinct possibility that another version will be available very soon (approx 3-4 months) which will be at least £100 cheaper. We asked AGM last May to make it for us but all the Olympics security issues caused a lot of problems for the Chinasoft industry and the delays and mould seizures put a stop to that for now. AGM's MG42 was supposed to be released last December! Which is their next one BTW.......then the PPSh-41
Cheers Steve M
